DMCA Policy
Character Known As The Gentleman Thief respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that are reported to our designated Copyright Agent.
This policy outlines the information required to submit a copyright infringement notice and how to file a counter-notification if your content has been removed by mistake.
Filing a DMCA Notice
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on Character Known As The Gentleman Thief, please send a written DMCA Notice to our Copyright Agent with the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work: Provide a description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the infringing material: Provide a description of the material that you claim is infringing and where it is located on Character Known As The Gentleman Thief (e.g., URL or specific location).
- Contact information of the complaining party: Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement of good faith belief: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement of accuracy: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Electronic or physical signature: A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Filing a DMCA Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you posted on Character Known As The Gentleman Thief was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a Counter-Notification to our Copyright Agent. A Counter-Notification must include the following:
- Identification of the material: Identify the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location (e.g., URL) at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- Statement under penalty of perjury: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- Your contact information: Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Consent to jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you are outside of the U.S., for any judicial district in which Character Known As The Gentleman Thief may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
